Gaba oolong is highly fermented, close to red tea. Such oolongs are also called “red water”.

In the late 80s, the Japanese came up with a technology for processing tea leaves without access to oxygen and learned how to make tea with a high content of GABA. Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA or English GABA) is responsible for concentration and performance, slightly reduces blood pressure, relaxes, and relieves tension.

Aroma: fruity, bready, with a hint of honey..

Taste: soft, but at the same time thick and dense, with hints of fruit, chocolate and baked goods. Noble and rich, reminiscent of good Taiwanese red teas.

Impact: harmonious, relaxing, meditative, but at the same time gently warming and concentrating.

Collection: 2023.

GABA content: about 150mg/100g

How to brew: by pouring, infusing, or maybe brewing according to Lu Yu? Try it, which one do you like best? Warm up the dishes. For straight brewing, take 5 grams of tea per 100 ml of water; for infusion and brewing, the calculation is 1 gram for every 100 ml of water.
