Aroma: Rich, woody, chocolatey, and nutty.

Taste: Strong and dense with long steeping. Confectionery, woody, and spicy notes are present, with a light creaminess unfolding in the aftertaste.

 

Effect: Invigorating. A Pu-erh for an active start to the day.

Production:

Harvest: 2020, 70-year-old tea trees, Ailao Mountain, Pu'er County > Fermentation: 2020, Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture > Aging: 2 years > Pressing: March 2022, Yunnan Province, China.

Despite the relatively recent pressing, the cake is already drinking wonderfully. Over time, it will gain density and balance in flavor and aroma. So it can be enjoyed now or stored to observe its changes in the future.

Format: 100-gram cake.

Brewing: We recommend using the gongfu method. Use 1 gram of pu-erh per 20 ml of water. Use fresh boiling water and thoroughly warm the brewing vessel. The first infusion should be 10 seconds, with each subsequent infusion increasing by 5 seconds. It also performs well in a thermos.
