These pearls are made from raw material harvested from old tea trees over 100 years old on Jino Mountain in the Xishuangbanna region, pressed to order by Art of Tea. The first spring harvest, high-altitude region, and powerful, energized raw material from old trees create the unique character of this Sheng Pu-erh.
Jino Mountain, also known as Yule Mountain (攸乐), is part of the group of Six Famous Tea Mountains. It is located near Jinghong, the administrative center of Xishuangbanna.
Aroma: Fresh greenery, floral honey, dried fruits.
Taste: Soft, delicate, sweet, with notes of meadow herbs, flowers, and juicy dried fruits. Refreshing, bright, with a pleasant aftertaste. No bitterness or astringency. Interesting to drink now, and it will develop more depth and balance over time.
Effects: Tones, quenches thirst, inspires, slightly intoxicates.
Production: Harvested in April 2023, pressed in May 2023, from old trees on Jino Mountain, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China.
Format: 7-9 gram pearls.
How to Brew: Warm the teaware before brewing, whether it's a gaiwan or Yixing teapot. Use boiling water. Porcelain will enhance the aroma, while clay will make the taste rounder and more pronounced. The infusion method allows you to get multiple flavors from one brew. Steeping saves time and gives one full-flavored brew. Boiling on an open fire will reveal the tea's potential most fully, making it rich, full-bodied, and powerful.
