Aged premium shu puerh with moderate humidity storage, produced in Menghai in 2003 under the Zhong Cha (CNNP) brand.

This puerh was found with a tea collector-investor from Guangzhou, who has been purchasing successful batches of shu and sheng puerh for over 10 years, followed by careful storage and resale. The tea has been professionally stored in a specialized warehouse in Guangzhou.

Thanks to the proper storage, the tea has developed what is known as Chen Xiang—“Aroma of Maturity.” Chen Xiang can be defined as special notes in the taste and aroma that arise from (correct and prolonged) storage.

Aroma: woody and nutty, with vintage notes of leather and the scent of an old cellar or attic.

Taste: soft, deep, harmonious, and exquisite. The flavor features aged, slightly damp wood, chocolate, nuts, and spicy, earthy notes. A long, slightly mentholated aftertaste.

Effect: harmonizing, powerful yet meditative, relaxing.

Production: 2003, Zhong Cha (CNNP), Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China.

Format: 357-gram cake.

How to brew: do not skimp on the tea, use boiling water! For optimal flavor, we recommend brewing in a clay teapot using the infusion method.
