Everyday Shu Pu-erh with a rich pastry profile in a convenient small format.

Produced and pressed for Art of Tea in the Menghai region using medium-sized leaves and a moderate amount of buds. It resembles classic Shu from well-known Menghai pu-erh factories (Haiwan, Da Yi).

Aroma: Wood-nutty, pastry-like.

Taste: Balanced and enveloping. Soft, rounded, thick, and rich flavor profile with notes of nuts and cream, complemented by a velvety chocolate bitterness in the aftertaste.

Effect: Invigorating and toning.

Production: Harvested in 2020, pressed in summer 2023, Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China.

The new fifth batch is available since November 2023! Noticeably different from previous batches—higher grade and more uniform material.

This cake is wonderful to drink already, despite the fresh pressing. It's bright yet smooth, with a consistent taste without off-flavors. Over time, the flavor will develop, gaining density and the characteristic creamy notes of good Menghai Shu.

Format: Cake of 100 grams.

Brewing: Don’t skimp on the tea; use boiling water. For steeping, use at least 5-6 grams of tea per 100 ml of boiling water. Be sure to rinse the pu-erh, then steep starting from 10 seconds, increasing the duration of each subsequent infusion by 5-10 seconds. The tea will withstand at least 5 infusions.
