Ripe (Shu) pu-erh "Sugar", 2022, 72g
"Sugar" is a high-grade shu pu'er in the form of a square chocolate bar, featuring an eye-catching cover adorned with cute Shiba Inu faces, hence its playful name ;)
The blend consists of two types of tea leaves: a base of whole leaf grade 3, generously seasoned with delicate leaves and buds of grade 1. Careful selection of the blend, moderate fermentation, and aging of the raw material for 2-3 years have achieved a harmonious balance of flavor, strength, and creamy smoothness. The presence of guntin buds and small grade 3 leaves adds brightness, complexity, and invigorating qualities.
Each whole bar contains 9 pieces, easily breakable and weighing 7-8 grams each. Perfect for nine tea adventures to suit any occasion: ceremonial settings, tea breaks at work or home, hiking, or business trips. Break off a piece, pour boiling water, wait, and enjoy!
Aroma: Bold, dense, with notes of chocolate and nuts.
Flavor: Dense, rounded, and soft. Notes of woody bark and bitter chocolate. Sweet and lingering aftertaste. Drinks smoothly, cup after cup.
Effect: Refreshingly invigorating, excellent for toning.
Production: Harvest and fermentation in 2019 and 2020, pressing in 2022 in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna District, Yunnan Province, China. Despite its relatively recent pressing, Saharok is already well-balanced and holds promise to improve with each passing day.
Format: 72-gram chocolate bar.
