Aged shu pu-erh with a distinctly noble Zhang Xiang (樟香, "Camphor Aroma") profile.
The large leaves indicate its origin from old trees. The flavor of Zhang Xiang Gu Shu is characteristic of much more expensive teas. It’s surprising to find such an interesting specimen in this price range.
Aroma: noble, spicy-woody, camphor.
Flavor: deep, velvety, nutty-woody, with tarry-camphor notes. The aftertaste is sparkling, sweet, and juicy.
Effect: focuses and harmonizes, providing a sense of concentration.
Production: 2015, Yong Ming factory (永明), Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province, China.
Format: 357-gram cake.
Brewing: generously use the leaves and hot water!
