Yellow tea Huo Shan Huang Ya, Spring 2024, 50g
Yellow tea Huo Shan Huang Ya, Spring 2024, 50g
Original yellow tea from Anhui province.
The traditional production process of yellow tea includes a stage called "withering" — after roasting and shaping, the tea is wrapped in a tight cloth or paper and left to wither for several days at around 50 degrees Celsius. This process alters the tea's appearance, giving it a slight yellow tint, and results in a unique aroma and flavor profile.
Aroma: bright and expressive, with notes of black currant and flowers.
Flavor: juicy, refreshing, slightly astringent, with nectar-like, berry, and floral notes, finishing with a long, sweet aftertaste.
Effects: relaxing and intoxicating.
Harvest: Spring 2023, Anhui province, China.
Brewing recommendations: We recommend using a thin-walled porcelain gaiwan or a glass teapot. For a balanced flavor, use water at 80–85°C; for a bold, astringent, and strong tea, use 90–95°C; and for a soft and sweet infusion, use 70–75°C. Alternatively, you can brew using a "lazy" method, simmering the tea at 65-85°C for about 10 minutes.
